White Bear Lake, MN- A firefighter responding to an anonymous tip of a possible fire at suburban home, ended up breaking up a large marijuana-growing operation in the basement of an abandoned house. Upon quick inspection of the home the firefighter noticed no flames, but there was a large amount of heat coming out of the eaves and the firefighter noted there was an unusually large amount of frost on the windows.

When the homeowner arrived he told the officer he would make sure everything was OK. The firefighter was suspicious of the condition of the home and related the events and conditions to a police investigator. On Monday, February 11th, the authorities foiled a multi-million dollar marijuana-growing operation in the basement of the home.

You can read more about the incident at InForum.com. It serves as another reminder of the new dangers firefighters face in this age with the bad guys cooking meth and allowing homes to become so humid that they are inhabitable due to mold growth
